American Gem Society Launches the “Perfect Proposal Toolkit”
In the spirit of the proposal season, the American Gem Society (AGS) and American Gem Society Laboratories (AGSL) have launched their Perfect Proposal Toolkit, designed to help people propose to their significant others during the most romantic period of the year. The proposal season begins on the first of February, encompassing Valentine’s Day and ending on March 20th, National Proposal Day.
First, one must pick one of five proposal categories: Simple, Proposal 2.0, Romantic, Funny, or Adventurous. Each individual category has five “Perfect Ways to Pop the Question” that are both thoughtful and personal. Best of all, they do not require a lot of money to coordinate – in fact most of them are free to do! A great one under Romantic Proposals is ‘Heart Strings’:
“Tie a ribbon from one spot in your home to another. Attach notes recalling the most memorable moments in your relationship along the way. Wait at the last note with the ring in hand.”
The AGS and AGSL team also suggests a few beautiful engagement rings for each category; including the Lady Di and Atlantico Pave engagement rings from Hearts on Fire. The Atlantico Pave Ring (a Facebook favorite) features a twisting metal diamond pave band and set with a perfectly cut Hearts on Fire diamond, providing the perfect ending to a Simple Proposal!
Also, for those who are still considering proposing and are in the researching process on the perfect engagement ring, the AGS website provides a lot of resources on diamond buying and history, including how lab grading works.
The American Gem Society is a non-profit trade association which encompasses a renowned diamond grading lab, the AGSL. The AGSL has pioneered diamond cut grading with their proprietary three-dimensional Light Performance grading platform, designed to measure a diamond’s overall light return which determines a diamond’s sparkle, and subsequently its beauty.
Aside from being known as having very strict standards, is the only grading laboratory to offer grading on a diamond’s performance. This is the reason why Hearts on Fire diamonds come exclusively with an AGSL grading certificate. After all, the ‘World’s Most Perfectly Cut Diamond™’ deserves to have a third-party lab certificate that confirms that!
