2.1 carat Andrea Birthday Diamond found by State Park visitor last week

Diamond is the birthstone of the month, and birthday girl Andrea Murphy celebrated her 30th with a trip to Crater of Diamonds State Park in Murfreesboro, Arkansas. Within 2 hours of being there she found herself a 2.1 carat brown diamond!

The Tiffany Yellow Diamond is one of the largest yellow diamonds of its calibre in known existence. At its discovery in 1877 in the Kimberly Mines in South Africa –which notoriously yield many of the world’s highest quality colored diamonds- it weighed a total of 287.42 carats. 136 Carat Fancy Yellow Diamond Found

Fancy YellowWorkers in a Siberian diamond mine have found what could possibly turn out to be the world’s largest fancy vivid yellow faceted diamond. In late April of last year, a 136 carat rough yellow diamond was uncovered in the Yakutia mine by the Udachninsky Mining Company. The color of the stone is described as “honey yellow” and has an irregular shape.
